I was reading these 2 ''Territory Grab'' topics on another page in this section and I found it very interesting. Since the author of the original ''Territory Grab'' topics hasn't made a third one I decided to make the third one, besides I find this very interesting. What I want to achieve with this is just like what has been achieved in the other 2 topics, opinions on eachother's views on what territory to choose first and second, etc.

If you don't know what this is all about, just check out the 2 ''Territory Grab'' topics on page 3 (currently, will be page 4 later I guess).

There are 4 players in this game and the turns are followed as this:

Red, Blue, Green, Brown, Repeat

Red starts its turn. What territory would you occupy if you were Red? And why? Give me your thoughts!

I quite like this territory grab scenarios. So I am in. Let's see where this goes. I played as Red, naturally going for Europe and expanding from where I am.

Actually I would favour placing the Blue army on Brazil.
1. Keeps the option open of going to either continent
2. SA only takes 3 more turns to secure while Africa needs 5, in case someone decides to compete either continent, I can switch to the other. After securing one either through direct placement or fighting, I can use the bonus to help contest the other continent.
3. Average continent per player for a 4 player game is 3/2, thus will be at a serious disadvantage if only managing to secure Africa.
4. Choke points/important intersecting points are Brazil and North Africa, controlling both will give chances of nailing in the future. Also, it is beneficial to secure both territories and they are connected as well, giving the option of reinforcements.

Feedback please? I'm not really confident, I go more for pre-placed maps.

I agree with the above post. Particularly because it is a 4 player game and ending up with two continents is a must. However, there is no rush to get the SA before others simply because others have much larger continent to claim and later on we will have enough opportunity to get the continent. It is quite likely that one or two will be claimed by others but thats the nature of the game.

So approach is good, the timing is not critical. Next is Green. Here is my move. Naturally going for NA securing borders. Any thoughts?

NA then get the borders secure And begin to take SA. Those two continents are a powerful duo.

I'm not sure how to make the map editor print a picture here, but I would choose Alaska if I were Brown.

If I were Brown here I think I'd be somewhat happy to join the Alaska-Kamchatka border just neough to ruin Green's plans in NA. As for what I want out of life -- everyone else got to pick before me -- I'm just a "peace-loving communist trying to defend the motherland in Asia" -- besides everyone else has territory that they want (and more importantly they're all adjacent to each other with plenty of borders to fight over) so I'll just stay out of the way over here, try to grab Australia and not fight with anybody -- yet. :)
