50 armies does sound like an easy total to get to depending on how many people are playing. I think this version is supposed to be quicker, but I think changing the number of armies you need to reach depending on the number of players and how long you want to play is okay. I am wondering how many players played in a typical game by the original author of this thread and how long did games tend to last? Did you ever fluctuate the number you needed to reach?
Even more interesting, what are some of the core strategies you utilized in this type of game and which ones worked and which ones didn't? Why do you think they did or did not work? |
