I'd like to second what The Player has said. Total Diplomacy revolutionized my approach to Risk, and also gave me some ideas for some great reads (Read Machiavelli's The Prince with Risk in mind the whole time, and it really helped). Total Diplomacy is not only great because it shows how to Negotiate, but also when, where, and why to negotiate. The actually tactics and strategies also added another dimension to my playing. But my favorite part had to be the scenarios. It is one thing to read on how to play Risk well, but to be shown how to play Risk well is quite another thing and that helped and excited me the most. To those of you who enjoy Risk with a passion, this book is a necessity. Thank you Dr. Honary, for this intellectual, elaborate, and well stocked book! |
